Marriage Agreement.
REGISTERED DEED #245422 Dated 15th Feb 1777. Tuite & Atkin.
To the Register approved by act of parliament for the registering ofDeeds, Conveyances, & Wills .... A Memorial of an Indented Deed ofMarriage bearing date the 15th day of February in the year One thousandSeven Hundred and Seventy?seven made between John TUTE the younger ofCurroughcloe in the County of Wexford, farmer of the first part,Catherine ATKIN of Coolemain in the said County, Spinster of the secondpart & John TUTE the elder. father of the afore Said John TUTE of thefourth part ... Recitinq that for & in Co~son of a Marriage that wasthen Intended to be had and Solemnised between the John TUTE the youngerand the said Catherine ATKIN the afore said William ATKIN did therebycovenant & agree to give the said John TUTE as a Marriage Portion withhis said daughter the sum of one hundred pounds stirling chargeable uponthe Lands known as Coolemain & Garryniske situate in said County ofWexford & as in said Deed more particularly described payable thereoutat the rate of ten pounds stirling each & every year & from & immediatelyafter the payment of the said one hundred pounds, the afor said WilliamATKIN did hereby further agree with the said John TUTE that he should &receive the sum of ten pounds stirling yearly issuing out of the Lands asafore said for & during the natural life &….. of the said William ATkIN &Barbara HUTCHTNSON of Ennisarthy in saidCounty wife of William HutchisonGAUGER & the ? issues of them & further reciting that the said John TUTEthe elder father of John the younger afore Said did also by said DEEDCovenant & Agree to assign & make over one half ?ot of the Lands ofCurroughelue where he did then for his Term & Interest therein & alsoreciting that from & after the decease of the said John TUTE the elder,that it should be lawful for John the younger to /revy & receive the Sumof Ten pounds stirling issuing out of the Lands of Clareytown & whereinthe John the elder had then interest. & for and during his interest &Term, therein & reciting that in case the said Catherine ATKIN thewife of the said John TUTE, should survive him that she should have atyearly Income during her natural life of Six Pounds Stirling the.payment of which the afore said Lands of Coolamain, Garryniskee &Clareystown are charged & as more particularly in said Deed mentioned &which said Deed is witnessed by Edward BEAUBIER & William ATKIN both ofsaid County, farmers & this Memorial is witnessed by the said WilliamBEAUBIER & John Nunn RICHARDS of the Town of Wexford gentlemen, JohnTUTE sealed signed and delivered in the prescence of us..
