  Samuel HAYMAN Esq., of South Abbey, Youghal, Co. Cork was born in 1635and in 1663 married his cousin Elizabeth ATKIN, dau of John ATKIN Esq.,of Minehead, and afterwards, Polemore, near Youghal, Co. Cork, Ireland. Samuel died at Youghal, on the 23rd of December 1672, when his childrenwere still minors, and by his last Will, appointed their grandfather,John ATKIN, their guardian.
