In the chancel on a flat slab of alabaster are represented the effigiesof a man and a woman at their heads are the arms of Coningsby & Sollers -quaretered impaled with Englefield and at their feet the effigies oftheir seven children with the following inscription round the Margin.
" Here lyeth the bodies of Humphrey Coningsby of Hampton Court in theCountie of Hereford esquyer and Ane his wife daughter of ThomasEnglefield, knygt, which Humphry died the 3rd day of April in the year ofour Lord God MDVII of whose soles God have Mercy"

After his fathers death, Coningsby became the ward of his grandfather ajudge, who in turn died whilst Coningsby himself was still under age.Thus he was not granted livery of his extensive lands until May 1537.About five years later he came into his mother's Worcestershire property.He retained his office of gentleman pensioner throughout Mary's reign.but was excused attendance at Court. And was not a member of her laterParliaments.
In 1559 he returned to the House or Commons, and died 4 April 1559 amonth before Parliament ended. No mention of a bi-election has beenfound. His will, drawn up in March 1559 was proved in October that year.
