  John ATKIN was born about 1588. About 1616 John ATKIN married Jane ....... By then they were living at Cloynepriest, Co.Cork. Ireland Mr Atkin died 14th February, 1642 - 43 and was buried in the old Church of Cloynepriest, beneath a flat stone bearing the following inscription;....................... " Here lieth the body of John Atkin Sen. who departed this life 14th February 1642." " Also, here lieth the body of Jane Atkin, the wife of the above John Atkin, who departed this life 7th December 1675."
