Cork, who gave her a dowry of 1750 pounds (a very large sum in those days), on7 June, 1751. They were married by Walter's father, Rev. John Thomas Atkin. (A summary)

And Catherine, his wife, Ambrose, Dennis and Michael Kearney, all of Capparnore, surviving sons of Maurice Kearney of Capparnore, Gent. And Alice Kearney, widow and relict of said Maurice of the 1' part, and Robert Fitzgerald Uniacke of Corkabegg, Co. Cork and Rev. John Thomas Atkin, Cork City of The other part, the release being made between Bryan Kearney, his wife Catherine, Ambrose, Dennis, Michael and Alice Kearney of the l,' part, Walter Atkin of the City of Cork, Gent. Barbara Atkin, otherwise Uniacke, his wife, Grand Daughter and heir and law to James Uniacke, late of Capparnusgire, Co. Tipperary, Esq., deceased and of Barbara Uniacke, wife of James and which said Barbara Atkin is only child and heir at law to Maurice Uniacke late of Woodhouse, Co. Waterford, deceased and Catherine, his wife, who (Maurice) was only child and heir at law to the same James Uniacke, deceased, and Barbara, his wife, and which said Walter Atkin is administrator to the said James and Barbara Uniacke.
The Memorial goes on to record the lease of lands by the Karneys to Robert Fitzgerald Uniacke and Rev. John Thomas Atkin? the lands were at Castletown, Cappamore, Co. Waterford. *There is a Uniacke Street in the town of Youghal.
