  • Notes
    • Robert ATKIN, had a haberdashery business. Evidently all the drapers andhaberdashery outlets in the area began on account of the mill (flax) andbleaching green at Coolamain.

Robert & Catherine had a house in Wexford Town where they appear to havelived all the time until their deaths. It is possible that Robert ATKINopened another haberdashery in Newtonbarry, and possibly lived above theshop for a period of time. Their son, also Robert who married FrancesWHEELOCK was a hosier in Newtonbarry where he lived and had a shop.

Robert Atkin definitely had a haberdashery in Wexford town and was stillalive in 1806, because he bed and boarded some itinerant Methodistministers in that year.
