  Grace Townsend Atkin - Born at Fernhill, Clonkilty, Co.Cork, Ireland. Grace Townsend ATKIN emigrated to Australia on 11 Nov 1864 aboard the "Wansfell" with brother Robert and his family. There in Hamilton, Brisbane, she established a school for young ladies, before being appointed first assistant teacher at the new Brisbane Girls Grammar School in 1875. She died in 1876, four years after her brother Robert. Death Notice - Cork Chronicle Newspaper: .... Fri 31 March 1876.... 'On 26th Jan at ? Waterman, Brisbane suddenly Grace Townsend the last surviving child of the late William Francis ATKIN of Fernhill,Co.Cork.' Death certificate cites "died Breakfast Creek, Brisbane"
