William Francis ATKIN was the youngest son of Walter ATKIN and Catherine DREW. He was born about 1795.

A Marriage Notice appeared in the Cork Southern Reporter ;... 18 March 1826, ... 'on the 8th inst. by the Rev Henry STEWART, William Francis ATKIN Esq. youngest son of Walter ATKIN of Atkinville to Alicia, third daughter of Rev. William STEWART, both of this County.'
William Francis and Alicia Hungerford ATKIN lived at Fernhill, Clonakilty, Co. Cork. Though it has been established that they had four children, an article about one of their sons states that there were four sons in the family. William Francis ATKIN died sometime before 1850.

Memorial of a Deed of Assignment dated 17th August, 1846 made between Walter William Atkin of Fern Hill, County Cork, under 21 years, eldest son and heir of William Francis Atkin, deceased, who was sole trustee in an indenture dated 6 July, 1832. His widow, Alice Hungerford Atkin, is recited as his widow and his executrix. It concerns young Walter Wm.'s trusteeship of a certain marriage settlement between other parties. The trusteeship falling on Alice until Walter should reach the age of 21 years. (A summary)
