"Johan wife of John Rucke". The only means by which another woman would fit into the Rucke family as a wife of a John would be for John, son of John and Margaret, to have married twice - Johan as first wife and Thomasine Forward as second wife. In fact, by looking at the last child born in 1582 it becomes obvious that Thomasine could not have borne all of the children for John. Even if Thomasine married at age 16 she still would have had only approximately 34 years of child-bearing capacity, which length of time is still not sufficient to have been mother to the earliest of the children.
