Robinson's Mansions and Manors of Herefordshire refers in notes on"Breinton", to several members of a branch of the Coningsby' family whichthey were unable to trace, viz ......... Fitzwilliam Coningsby, gent of,Corporal of ye Lord Coningsby's Hospital, buried 4 may 1715. In the IGI in the London Entries is an entry for a Fichwilliam Coninsgbyson of Henry and Annae Coningsby baptised 1655 at St Martins in theField, Westminster. The founder of this branch (Cork ) in Ireland was Robert WARREN anofficer in Cromwell's army. According to an old document in thepossession of the family, he came to Ireland in 1649, had the rank ofCaptain, and was then about 25 years of age. At the end of the war he gota grant of lands, signed by the Lords Chief Justices in Kilkenny Castle,Ireland, fo arrears of pay for past services.
