2326 Hereditary Prince of Hymany.

From O'Kelly story:
“In 1744 when Prince Charles Edward raised an army in Ireland, Colonel John Patrick O’Kelly, Hereditary, Prince of Hymany, who lived at Aughrim (Ochram) Castle, raised and commanded the Connacht Regiment which he took to Scotland to fight for the Prince and was at the battle of Sterling.
The Prince conferred on him the titles – Earl Aughrim Viscount O’Kelly, and Baron Athenry. He did not enjoy his honours long as he was killed at the battle of Falkirk. In 1746 when the Prince’s Army was routed more by starvation than by the numbers of the Duke of Cumberland’s soldiers the Connacht Regiment was almost wiped out and their baggage was seized. In the latter was found a complete list of the Officers of the Regiment and without delay Cumberland sent a troop of Hessians to Connacht with strict orders that the families and near relatives of these officers were to be exterminated. It was a task at which the Hessians excelled.
Col. O’Kelly had left a widow (my mother) and three sons – Dirmuid who now speaks to you, Patrick who was your Father, Teige; and Thomas who still lives at Dysart, twenty miles from here.

2339 Hugh Moore ATKIN married Olive RICHARDS. Lived in the Lake Whiting area,Indiana, U.S.A.

As did some other members of the ATKIN family they added an 's' to theAtkin as their surname over the years. Hugh & Olive had three children,Margaret ATKINS was the eldest and was married to Eddie BROWN. They hadno children. At some time they lived in Washington, D.C. Margaret was ateacher was last heard by the family as teaching in Maryland, possibly inthe suburb of Hyattsville.

One son was Hoyt ATKINS.

The other son Richard ATKIN who at one time worked for a trucking companydriving different routes to determine the quickest way between 'A and B'.

Hugh Moore ATKINS had a wholesale produce business selling to independantstores. He and Olive used to Winter in Texas when they were older.

As Richard Garde ATKIN(S), Hugh's father was drowned at Lake Whiting, itpossibly happened when they were visiting the family.

2341 I have linked Lt Col John Bourchier as son of Daniel Bourchier.
I can't find any documentary. The evidence is thin, only from this source: 'http://bourchier.net/Charts/Chart%2021.html'

This page 'https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Bourchier-482' identifies 3 of Daniel's children, with sources provided.
However, Daniel had at least two more children, so maybe more. The military connection continues down, as does the John Bourchier name, and dates seem OK. The Macnamara name continues down to Hugh Arthur, so a reasonable call.

2346 In 1820, the (presumed) eldest surviving daughter Frances was married in Wisbech to a Cambridgeshire gardener.

Frances started a family in the town, but then moved away to Erdington (Warwickshire), now a suburb of Birmingham, around 1824. It would seem that her sister Millicent followed her or went with her, as she was married that year in nearby Aston to a gardener from Suffolk (one can speculate how that came about!). Frances raised a large family and remained in the Erdington area, whilst Millicent soon moved away to London, where she spent the rest of her life, and where most of her children were born.

2347 In 1829 Walter ATKIN and Arabella DREW had a sixth son whom they namedRichard Garde ATKIN. He was named after Richard Frederick GARDE who wasone of the witnesses to their Marriage Settlement Deed of 1815.

On the 26th of July 1829 Richard Garde' ATKIN was baptised at St. Luke'sChurch in Douglas, Cork.

Baptismal Registers of St. Luke's Church, Douglas. :

Richard was also one of the family to emigrated to the United States ofAmerica in the early 1850's.

There Richard Garde ATKIN married Ann E. MERRELL in 1853. They lived inSalem, Illinois, where Richard was a grocer.

Richard Garde ATKIN and Margaret MOORE had two children;
1. Hugh Moore ATKIN born 14th of December 1875.
2. Arabella Drew ATKIN born 21st of December 1877.

Richard Garde ATKIN died of drowning on the 9th of August 1896 at LakeWhiting, Indianna. Hugh Moore ATKINS their son lived at Lake Whiting, soit possibly happened when they were visiting the family.

Some of the things that were remembered in their home, by their granddaughter Arabella Drew Atkin HYATT:
a. A daguerreotype photo of the ATKIN baby Christopher, "laid out" -probably taken at the wake, just before burial.
b. A framed piece of material ( Long rectangle ) taken from the gown'Lady Alice' (possibly Alicia DREW, ( mother of Arabella Drew ATKIN whowas Richard's grandmother) wore when she was presented at the FrenchCourt. The material was woven from flax grown on the ATKIN estate and washand-painted with flowers.
c. Two pencil drawings of places on the Atkin Estate in County CorkIreland. These were framed and were hung to the left of the frontfireplace in the living room at 6 West Oak St., Chicago, Illinois.
